Black and White Retreat (cont.)
Some more shots just hanging out
Hanging out with some friends and a little more redscale film
On yet another snow day (hard to tell) I went around campus and shot with some lomography redscale film.
It’s actually an XR50-200 film, but using the holga I couldn’t do anything but take some shots
I went a little nuts my first time with the double exposures…
As any typical teenage male-I used to love playing video-games. I was always playing my Xbox with friends, and always up to date on the newest news and upcoming releases.
Until one day, my Xbox fatally ended in red rings (total system failure).
So, I began to play guitar more; yet I still found myself bored most of the time. I picked up reading, and even bought myself a Kindle. I began to felt more sophisticated and mature-but that’s besides the point. I still wanted something new to fill my time.
And that’s when I found Lomography. I realized that I really enjoyed photos and photography-particularly more artistic shots, and saw lomo photography as a great way to get into it. I did my research, checked out my options on cameras, and asked for a Holga this past Christmas.
They seemed simple: point, and shoot. And so I began taking shots of my college campus and anything else that I saw as I went through my day.
And that’s how I started getting into photography!
I’m currently working on scanning my first few rolls of negatives so the quality will be better (I scanned the prints on my crappy printer), so soon there will be some actual examples of shots I’ve taken! Once I’ve done that, I hope you enjoy!
